Thats a good price.
We was asked £1700 per pup when we bought ours 2 years ago.
We didn’t want one (Already got 2dogs) but Sis in Law from 250 miles away asked us to go look on her behalf as she wanted 3! 2 for herself and 1 for her (Still at home) daughter.
So we went to look and paid a deposit on 3 dogs.
That left the breeder with one bitch to sell but a woman said she’d send a deposit that day, so all dogs spoken for.
Next day breeder rang to say the woman hadn’t paid the deposit, did we want the bitch?
We had petted that dog when viewing but discounted her because SIL wanted only dogs.
Yes, we said and collected 4 puppies a couple weeks later.
We negotiated the price down to £1500 per puppy.
The breeder called the day after we paid all the deposits and said we could change our mind and return any puppies we wasn‘t happy with!
These had been advertised with the Kennel Club and we were the first to respond to the Ad.
When we collected the pups he told us he could have sold all for his original asking price, hence the refund offer.
SiL came and took her 3 to Portsmouth were one had a tragic accident and died.
She replace him with another 8 week old puppy about 4 months ago, at a cost of £1250.
This is our Belle, the bitch we didn’t want, Just over 2 years old now.
