Brass cleaning

Sooo many complicated methods and magic potions.
Bung your brass in a cloth bag, stick it in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash, empty bag onto tray and place near fire or radiator. Job done.

make sure the bag neck is well secured and that the boss is defo out well beyond the end of the cycle. Wot could go wrong just might…..

0000 steel wool. 5 seconds per case.

Admittedly, this method is defective in that it doesn’t involve a machine or gadget.

I put the cases in the ultrasonic, when I use it, as soon as I have removed the spent primers. I look at the primer pockets after each 8-minute cycle. They are usually clean after about three cycles. I rinse them in boiling water until there is no discolouration of the water. This means the cases are pretty hot, and easily dry out in the conservatory for a day or two. Forgetting to remove them from the cleaner promptly, leads to terrible discolouration.

Never been too concerned with the look of my brass but definitely notice a difference between clean and dirty when it comes to inside case necks. Small batch i use a brass brush on a drill.

been thinking of getting one if those vevor tumblers, so those work?
