British Shooting Show 2024

That’s unfortunate.. I wouldn’t be going if it wasn’t for the fact I’m picking up a moderator from an RFD at a good price… plus, you never know if there are some bargains and discounts to be had..
Picked up my mod, and saved a whopping £180 on a pair of Spuhr mounts.. Good deals to be had on BOG tripods.. so treated myself on one of these too..

Wildcat were there, but very limited stock. Limited to mods only… Some nice Cadex PRS rifles on display but no Barrett rifles on display😞. It’s been 7 years since my last visit, much, much smaller, but then previously there was practically a hall for airsoft.. none of that this year.

I certainly saved more than the ticket and fuels costs massively..

well, I went, saw walked, I bought stuff - over all, happy. team mates got some goodies, chap we've got who's thinking about getting into shooting looks like he's got a better idea what he actually wants to do so worth it for him too. Some discounts, a surprising amount of stuff on display but seemingly not for sale - looking forward to the stalking show.

see you all in April.

Same here to be honest. We had a good paddle round, saw lots of good stuff, saved a nice bit on some ear defenders that covered the price of our tickets, got to compare some products I've been wondering about, and I fingered the hell out of...some very nice scopes 🤣
Now sat in a hotel restaurant neaby waiting for my steak 😋

no unfortunately, not for me at least. same for same might have been different, adding was a no. still, got some good advice from them for moving to an open ticket and obv nice to see the faces outside an official capacity :-)

Dorset didn't turn up even though they were meant to have a stand, I went today and thought I might actually get a useful conversation out of them
Yes i went Saturday came away with the arken 520 r yes spoke to Devon an Cornwall about my choice of guns...
Even tried the Begara B14 in 223 an the hmr 6.5 funny when i asked an tried their carbon 22lr he said you know you cant shoot dear with that caliber isaid reallllly no sxxt sherlock...

I went to BSS but Gloucestershire Police booth was empty, which was disappointing. The show itself was OK to look at new stuff and lots of thermal kit on demo. I felt for the few gun shops that turned up - they seemed to have sold a fair few guns looking st the sold racks, but the Game Fair would now have more guns to see that the BSS! It needs a big rethink. There’s a much bigger shooting constituency out there than was represented at the NEC.

The one thing I would say that for all those looking at the night vision and thermal kit, of which there was many. People need to check what happens when/if it goes wrong. If they do not have an agency in the U.K. or Europe, you could end up posting back to China to repair. That is an issue and quickly negates any saving

I enjoyed my day out with a couple of my shooting buddies. There was less to see this year are less customers as well I thought. What did please me was the greater % of shooting related stands Vs non shooting sh1t, booze and other frippery should be restricted in my view. Only bought a cheap knife and a lightweight waterproof Percussion jacket at a decent price.
What was noticeable was the much lower quantity (not quality) of used rifles

Wouldn’t bother with them again. Reserved some rounds to pick up at the show Saturday. Go there first thing Saturday to pick them up and they’ve sold them
Not Simpsons but other companies, I've had that and it's simply infuriating especially if you've made a special journey and wouldn't have bothered otherwise. Sportsman are notorious for doing that and have lost quite a few customers as a result.
