British Shooting Show 2024

I think that people who went to the shooting show this year and thought it was good never went to Newark or Stoneleigh.
Yep, never been so small, limited to a single hall.. A lack of smaller independent RFD’s and shortage of reloading equipment.. It was my first time in 7 years.. won’t rush back next year as went with intentions to buy and collect certain items.

reloading equipment or consumables ? I managed to pick up loads of basic and 308 specific equipment, consumables I think are in short everywhere from the looks.

if I'm honest, I'm probably better suited for the Stalking show in April - I get why air and air soft are popular but not really my boat ( not knocking the air guys, each to their own and most of us probably started there anyway )

Only thing I enjoy about these shows is the bingo counting how many bellends turn up in cammo or sweating about in tweed. And trying to tick off my bingo, for a blonde girl in dubarry AND schoffel AND AND a hat with a pheasant feather!! Ding ding ding we have a winner!!
tight white jeans as well or riding britches ?

i've pretty much given up going to shows , they really aren't what they used to be sadly

might give the stalking show a go as i've never been to that one

I went since I haven't been to any of them before. Lots to look at, pick up and see what they are like in real life, then put down again before temptation got the better of me!
My general view is that people couldn't get enough of thermal gear, especially the Hikvision Alpex which seemed to be in a plastic bag carried around by virtually everyone.
The stalking show sounds good so I might go to that one as well.

This. I will try the stalking show this year for the first time and go back to the Game Fair for the Gun Shops. Not sure I’ll do the BSS next year unless I’m bored and I’m still local.

Contemplated going just to have a look at the Accuracy International AT-XC if there was going to be one there, not sure. Then I read the posts elsewhere about the issues with the AT-X. So not going to bother as not going to buy one now.

(Basically it is Made in the USA and that is nothing to be proud of apparently. Neither is the allegedly non-existent customer service) So there now seem to be two AI's at the moment UK and USA. Again not my beef, but if our cousins have complaints of that magnitude then I will not be burning £6k in the hope they have fixed it. I will stick with my good old British AI AX and save the airfare to Birmingham.
If your not from the USA or in the police or military, I found CS to be unpleasant

I spent a lot of money on a torch and a mate immediately dropped it onto concrete. It worked (as it should asit was high spec mil) but the edge of the light was like a saw. Basicaly, they told me to foxtrot. I may also be biased but I remember seeing a destruction film - I think nordic army - fouling the barrels of american and european made rifles then remote detonation and slow mo. As I recall, all the american made rifles failed dramatically including peeled back barrels and woodwork turning into splinter grenades. Non of the european brands failed like that. Plus any country that votes for Bush Jnr, Regan, Trump and Biden etc.really deserve what they get.
