British shooting show 2025

I attended this year, hadn’t been before, would go again.
Surprised at cost of entry but thought the experience was worth it.
Ideal venue , easy parking , short walk or shuttle bus and no lengthy queues.
. Well organised ,good facilities and enough space to walk around.
Most major firearm brands were in attendance, all the staff/reps I spoke with were more than helpful.
I have no interest in air weapons or thermals and night vision but there seemed to be a plethora of stands which appeared busy.
Managed to do what I needed to and caught up with a lot of people.
Lots of relevant or associated traders selling clothing , optics , knives etc and associated organisations.
Wasn’t the stalls selling unrelated products that you get at Gamefairs,
General consensus from the trade and visitors I spoke to was favourable.
It is what it is , an indoor trade show primarily.

I enjoyed the day, went with 2 mates car shared. I found the show better than the last few years, less of the scotch and gin. I agree there were fewer small RFD’s than I’d hoped. Met a few mates during the day as well.

I found Thomas Jacks (immersive optics) very helpful, despite being a trade stand they had their prismatic scopes fitted to perspective stock. This enabled me to find out if they suited me.
The zero eye relief didn’t but the 5x30 pro was good for me 90 mm eye relief. Sat down had a brew, checked the web. Cheapest option was Optics warehouse, great they are on site.
Wondered over. Internet price was on £319 (iirc) show price was £287.99, great checked they had 1 left, box showed not my best choice for reticle, however incorrect item in the box (correct scope incorrect reticule) my luck was in the reticle I was after.
A different retailer in the hall was selling same scope at £350 win win for me.
Got a couple of cans of Ballistol, free hat, free goodies from Hornady including mug and hat, free goodies from the BASC ladies, they are always very chatty and willing to part with goodies, no hat this year.
Bought some chorizo for SHMBO
Made a couple of good contacts.
Tikka, we’re very friendly as was Blaser (thanks for the goodie bag) and quite a few other retailers.
Dan on the Braces stand spent a few minutes chatting, I expect he took the AI 308 back home (too rich for me at £9,036 retail 😳).
I was looking for a decent cold weather shirt, nothing took my eye, except stuff I’ve already bought.

Parking was nice and easy, not too far to walk this year.

Overall it was the best BGS for a few years, I now expect I will go next year.

Hi what powder are you looking for ?
If I'm totally honest I don't know what he will end up using, probably Vhit, I don't even know what projectile he will want, he will initially be reloading for .308, taking Muntjac, Roe and a couple of Reds every year.

Do you have any you want to sell by any chance?
