Buck's and the Buttolo.

It is rare not to see a deer in this 6 arce block, you can't alway manufacture a shot also being a hay field then at some point you have to wait until it is cut!
Quite often the thermal gives them away then I am on my toes to work an angle for a shot, tonight was no different also you would never see them with binos a couple of yards back in deer cover.
First "hit" was a faint muntjac shape moving to my right so the "lets get there stride" kicks in as it will be a 40/50 yd shot and I am at 180!
Last check and this doe must have gone in a circle and crossed in front but not stopping fiddlefucksticks lol but a buck fired up with I can only interpret as a "come back" moan type call. So a few pips on the caller had him leave cover to his fate.

Dragged him to hang and bleed then back to my stand, 10 mins later which I guessed was the doe she was a couple of yards back in cover! Lets try the caller...nope not even a flick of an ear. Always check behind! A buck had turned up and was looking right at me but a definite no shot with him there so all you can do is wait and with the breeze he was sniffing the air and not liking it one bit, but in an open field all you can do is stand still, just like a fox he was trying to get around me just to confirm his nose.
After he came out of the old ditch line his shoulder was plumb with the cross hairs. 2 will do I muttered lets go.
