Who can tell?

Total of 5 muntjac drifting through the woodland last night (said the thermal) an early showing some 250yds was what turned out to be this doe with a large follower then nothing until it always seem to start of in the last 15mins of deer o'clock with a buck in hot pursuit of a doe with no shot as she was not stopping!

In the truck to the second best "hot spot" with the first pair have come out but still on the move also a buck coming down the tree line for a look! the follower was doing what young muntjac do which is charge around which was affecting the doe, does she look pregnant "who can tell" click bang lets find out.

The other two legged it so over the deep ditch to inspect this slim looking doe!

I shot a pregnant muntjac doe on Saturday. I was surprised how much subcutaneous and abdominal fat it had... but it barely had a third of the fat on yours! I also shot a small buck that was almost entirely lean.

Well the majority of the vineyard producing grapes also with such a large investment and 24 hrs in the day then they have to go!
I am sure they get a good living in the woodland but not shot a poor muntjac out of there yet.
