The owners of this vineyard are seeing more and more muntjac which seem to fill the void of the ones I shoot very quickly, the woodland also the outside of the vineyard seem to focus them coming from cover to the vines, with the bucks wanting their own patch also a local area not shot then they are turning up!
First was a doe (pregnant) not a surprise! came out of the ditch not long after a fox decided it to run after looking back to the ditch line.
Bit of a fiddle picking a clear path through the vine wires but over she went, cleaned her out planning to return later.

Back to the other end of the wood a pond is a good focal point with a track leading into the woodland, scanning the area in front while parked up the top a buck appeared by the pond so using the vines as cover I hustled down the slope just in time before he would have out of view, big wound on the flank with very tattered ears.
Third came out as I had just finished the clean out running back into the wood!
Drove back up to my vantage point waited 20mins then spotted him the other side of the deep ditch with his head poking out from behind the nettles. Again back down the slope closing to around 70 yds.
Text the farmer with a "Thank you, please come soon" reply.
