Budget internal chassis treatment.

I have an 08 plate hilux, externally chassis really sound, so hoping to keep the inside from rotting. I have used cheap motorbike chain grease, £3.50 a can, two cans enough to do each side main chassis rail. Did a little test patch on a rusty patch of steel, the stuff dries back to a tacky hard grease. Really easy to apply with the bendy straw nozzle. I reckon this will do the job.
Lanoguard seems to get dearer each time I look.
 
i do an occasional spray with the airgun using ACF50 Corrosion block (at bit more viscous that ACF). ACF50 has always been great to everything else, but this sticks a bit better. easy to do with a compressor etc.
 
100 quid kit of lanoguard will do a Hilux twice. It creeps in the crevices when you spray the cavities using the 360 spraying nozzle so really is the right job to protect your motor. It smells like lamb chops though when 1st put on!
 
Park near a Defender the oil will capillary into your chassis.
OK I would do dintrol or another inject method I had my Terracan done in 2004 and it still shows no internal corrosion, sold it 2016 to my neighbour farmer and he really uses it hard.
 
Chassis tend to rot from the inside so you need to treat with wax oil inside the chassis get your self a wax oil gun and a compressor stand the can in hot water to make the wax oil more pliable it’s worth doing.

Apart from the vast price difference, will there be any difference in the effectiveness?
Waxoil, Lanoguard etc are made specifically for the job, I am using the chain wax for something other than its original purpose, but am confident it works.
It will be interesting to see how my test patch fares exposed to some weather. Currently chucking it down here!

Anything is better than nothing
 
I've bought this stuff ready for winter after i had a nice motorbike disintegrate after riding in the winter to and from the airport (and hence leaving it for a week etc). Salt-Away Concentrate - F10Marine.com

And don't start with the "should have a different bike for winter" as that one went up in flames as i was riding the previous week...

either way i'll start trying to be more disciplined with washing the udnerstide of the vehicles during winter.
