Thanks everyone looks like the silverblixt is the one, should have asked for help months ago rather than having a google, not finding anything and giving up for a few weeks then trying again

Is it lead free?

That's an interesting bullet you have there Defender, two cannelures plus the core is staked.

I haven't the foggiest who makes it but purely speculating-
a) The two cannelures suggest to me that the bullet could be intended to be loaded to two different depths depending on the cartridge into which it is to be loaded. For example loaded deep in a .30-30 case but loaded out in a .30-06 case.
b) I normally associate that style of staking with eastern European countries. So again just wondering if it could be from Prvi Partizan or even Sellior & Bellot.

The colour of the synthetic tip looks familiar but I can't think who uses that particular colour.

I was told they were Prvi Partizan when i got them but couldnt find anything on there website that looked remotely similar with the double cannelure or the staking

The closest so far is the suggestion of Norma Silverblixt as the images of loaded 30-06 rounds look to have the same bullet

Its more that i would like to know before i load them if a definate id is made and they and still available then if they shoot accurately i can get some more, if they are no longer available then i'll just load them to use as practice or plinking rounds

The tip on the Naturalis looks too pointed and they dont have the staking below the cannelures

The plastic tip is the same colour as the ones that were fitted in some 30 cal 180grain Norma bullets. They shot good groups but they had a bad reputation for breaking up and not penetrating well.
These are a different shape so will behave differently.

I have used a few of these to good effect on driven boar, mine are 180gn. I tried to post two pictures, one of the complete carton and one of the bullets in thecarton but I don't know what happened so if it is too large perhaps CSL can moderate them for me ;-)IMG_20201119_104332.jpgIMG_20201119_104332.jpgIMG_20201119_104332.jpgIMG_20201119_104300.webpIMG_20201119_104332.webp

Definetly .308"?
The 7mm version of the plastic point weighs 170 grain.

Definately .308, have just had the vernier on them to check

Tried them against a 7mm rem mag case and way too big, tried them against a .300 win mag case and can get them started ok by hand

Weighed them on 2 different scales to check weight and definately 170gr as well

Not Norma AFAIK:- I have a box of 180gr PP-DC identical to EMcC - they are #67628 - SMP not RN, and yellow-tipped with nickel jackets.
The number I have on the carton is # 17653 and the case is definitely brass. Calibre 30-06 180gn

Yep, I know. Brass cases.
I was talking about the bullets they're loaded with. At that time the same bullet was loaded in Norma .308 180gr #17636.:tiphat:
