Butternut Box dog food replacing venison!

I use Butternut Box for some of my dog food. On the 27th May I received an interesting email informing me that they were swapping out venison for guinea fowl.
I quote ' Over the past year, high-quality venison has become increasingly harder to get our hands on.' Once I stopped laughing, I contacted customer services who were very polite but could not answer my questions.
1) Where they get their venison from 2) Where is the dog food produced? As the UK is over run with deer and 3) Would they like me to put them in touch with potential suppliers?
This has been passed over to their 'internal team' who I await a response from.

We have a cull weekend down Norfolk & 95 % of the cwd got into the pet food business
Don’t know which one
The criteria for the weekend is safe shots & head shots
A few go to bars & restaurants lost a lot of custom during & after COVID never really bounced back
Seems a shame grade A meat for dog food

Yeah because the country is fecking bursting with guinea fowl FFS.
So they are going to ship thousands of miles a bird from darkest Africa.
They probably have a carbon bollocks award also FFS.

We looked at putting venison to pet food and it seemed the hops to jump through were actually more onerous than those for human food chain
