Afternoon all,

Now the Pulsar C50 has been out for a while, I would like to get some feedback please form people who are using them?

I'm considering buying one to replace my Wraith (version 1).

What are your thoughts on the C50?

Best regards,

Jeff.,

Not as clear in the daytime but much better at night. I bought it with the intention of using it on 3 rifles but the Weirauch bullpup picatinni is crap. It's on the 22 Tikka at the moment with it going on the hmr when I have time (can be arsed). Have a go of it if you want, it's only 535 miles from you.

I've had one a few months. Shot plenty with it. Excellent low light capability is probably the biggest selling point for me. Not sure there's any advantage to the image quality but the bigger screen, finer reticle and massive field of view make it pound for pound the best digital NV since the drone pro. I've a Pard 008 and a Wraith here

I use an excalibur but a Dark engine, PBIR L, Solaris will all work well
I can only comment on the Dark Engine from the above list and it works brilliantly (normal and ID version) with the C50, but neither completely illuminate the full screen/FOV on base 3.5x.
I have just taken delivery of the Ludicrous Lumens Wraith (850nm, 2x Yukon lens) and found that with the two lens adjusted out to full extent they will illuminate the full screen and still provide more than enough illumination for long range when the Yukon lens is adjusted to spot. I also have a 940nm version on the way to test.

Drone is sharper on 10x but the C50 does things the drone cant so given the choice of both for free Id take the C50

I used to own a drone and enjoyed owning it , a great bit of kit. but given the choice I would also take the C50 over a drone nowadays. It works very well with my shooting days and I find it extremely easy to live with on a day to day basis

The Wulf 4K is better for day use, especially when you digi mag up. The C50 is easier to use at night because it has a wider FOV for locating the target species and the depth of focus is better.
But there is obviously a difference in price and weight/bulk.

I’m only moving up from a photon with doubler.

I tried a drone and wasn’t impressed to be honest.

The photon with doubler is brilliant. Just poor field of view.

The poor field of view is why I went away from the photon. It was plenty good enough without the doubler for my .22lr
