Cabinet suitability for scoped rifles.

To date I’ve had use of a cabinet that was 12” deep (30cm). Recently moved house, and need a new cabinet. Looking at Brattonsound they are either c. 27cm or 35cm deep. Whilst I’d like the deeper one, the space for the cabinet would suit a shallower one much better. Question - can you still fit a scoped rifle (all my rifles are classic sporter style with traditional scopes on top - no NV or high target turrets). My guns are currently in storage otherwise would try and measure.

I know the consensus will be get the deepest and largest you can fit, but can anyone with a standard depth Brattonsound please let me know. I’d still like to store them scope to the back of the cabinet rather than side on and take up lateral space if that makes sense.

I wouldn’t recommend it, but as ‘proof of concept’ I’ve had 4 scoped rifles in their standard depth 5 gun (ST5) cabinet.

3x 50mm objectives and 1x 56mm. All standard sporter rifles, nothing tactical or anything.

I would certainly go deeper if I could, though. Certainly have to be very careful manoeuvring them in and out.

I have a custom Brattonsound cabinet that is 12 inches deep. It's just doable for traditional scopes, but I regret not replacing it with a deeper cabinet when I moved house. I got the custom cabinet to just fit inside a cupboard in my old house. It's standard in all respects except for depth.

Standard depth cabinet doesn't fit NV style (PardDS) that well...it fits but the rifle doesn't sit in the rubber slot ...couple of diy adaptations did the trick though and now have 2 rifles and 3 shotguns comfortably accommodated
