Sold: Cage sides for p7e trailer

A full set of hot dip galvanised mesh sides to fit an ifor Williams p7e trailer.

I fabricated the panels so are not genuine IW. They bolt together rather than use pins and clips to minimise rattling.

The front panel has upstands to help move highseat ladders etc.

There is room for a winch cable to pass through the front, this gap also allows access to use a ratchet strap / chain and padlock.

I made them a few months ago but have since decided I wanted higher panels so they are now not needed.

Only the 3 panels are for sale, pictures attached demonstrate how they look on a trailer.

They are located Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border and would need to be collected due to size.

£150

All the best
George

Nice job George. Looks as though they are even better quality than the ‘genuine’ Ifor Williams ones.

If it was not for the fact I live in Scotland I would have bought these for my P7E.

Good luck with the sale.

Look good them same here I would ov bought them for the trailer I don't have yet lol but you miles away

The p6e with cage sides was too short for my bike, the p7e is absolutely perfect, if you don’t need the side panels then a p6e will probably do nicely as plenty of guys use them
Thanks
George

@Pike25lb I run a P6e and got a local chandlery supplier to make a "box" cover for me - it's very good and 20 years on, I've just got them to replace it. I have the H-bar at the front and have 3 x 1" lengths of nylon webbing that go from the ends of the H-bar (and middle (looped around the centre) to stainless steel ratchets riveted onto the rear drop down tailgate. These give enough tension to hold the cover box shaped. In winter, I rest a 8x4 sheet of thin ply on the straps beneath the cover's top to stop large puddles forming. Sounds complex but it’s very simple and works well meaning I don't need the mesh sides and giving me the bonus of convenient access all-round without having to remove the sides. Pictures are of the old cover.
