Cutting off is the easy bit I replied to the farm manager....!

According to him the spare grain pusher from one of there other farms has always been too long so he said take 3 foot out....

I found a piece of box to fit inside and added cheek plates for good measure....

Very tidy job,me and my Son do similar things, mostly agricultural( feeders, gates ext) .Son likes Mig, I say you can't beat stick welder, and you can use them outside on a windy day.

Thank you, repaired one of the marker arms off a quite new Vaderstad drill on Friday.

7mm wall on a piece of 60mm box broke clean through! Used a bit of en16 inside to beef up the repair....

My dad just got hold of a little unit that does stick & Tig and goes to 220amp not much bigger than a toaster and hold in one hand ....think he only paid 200 ish quid !!
I'm a welder by trade and was ASME IX in stick and tig ....only played with mig but I haven't welded in 20years !.
Be like a string of seagull **** now I bet!

Still really appreciate a good bit of welding or fabbying when you see it
