Wanted: Canada 2026

I have been invited to a wedding in Toronto in April 2026, for which my flights may be subsidised. I would only really go to North America to shoot and so I am keen to organise a trip whilst over there. I would have a week but limited budget, not fussed about trophies just a fun expedition for a few days with my boys. Any suggestions welcome, I appreciate I would need to fly from Toronto to somewhere more remote in either USA or Canada.

Shoot me a PM and we can chat some more. Your in luck that Toronto is a major hub with alot of other connecting flights out. The unlucky part is that not to much in Ontario is going on in April. It can still be fairly cold, can still get snow around Toronto or ice storms. Northern Ontario will have snow guaranteed and lakes frozen.

Turkey season will be open in southern Ontario end of April. Our black bear spring season opens May 1st. But that’s dependent on snow access in the bush also.

Your best bet may be fly fishing. A couple hours drive from Toronto you are into some good brown trout/rainbow trout/and maybe some salmon.
