Canjar trigger group/springs

Seems a small spring from a Canjar 'set' trigger set has gone AWOL (during restoration/affirmation), so does The Hive know of who may have 'trigger expertise/components' or access to the small springs for a now discontinued 'set-trigger' version please?

Rifle is a Beretta 602 (originally owned by MJE? of This Parish, yes, yes, I know never heard of and very few far n 'tween, and no response from Sako)....perhaps helps knowing in Gods calibre - 0.270W!

Only 15 Beretta 602 rifles were imported, confirmed by letter from Gunmark and Karl Waktare owned another of them.

Buy a spring kit and there should be a multitude of options from which to pick and size to meet the original safety and performance

Seems from RFD this is a miniscule spring for the set-trigger part of the trigger group.........

For some silly reason I kept the letter and I came across it not so long ago but for the life of me I can't think where it is now but I will keep an eye out for it.

I was just asking my wife about when I first collected the rifle from Litt's and I know that it was Christmas eve, and I think it was 1986 or 1988. I don't know if I mentioned it before but the rifle was altered for me prior to purchase ( you would probably call it semi-custom these days). The original forend was cut off and replaced with a contrasting nose cap, and the front sling swivel was replaced by a sling swivel silver soldered to the barrel. The escutcheon with my initials was fitted too.
When I swapped the rifle for a series 70 Colt 1911 in .45acp it was in a Winchester make heavily padded gun case that I had won at a Midlands branch BDS shoot. I also swapped a .308w Tikka 65 at the same time, that was for a Smith & Wesson 686.
The original Sako/Beretta trigger was included in the swap.

I swapped the rifles at that time because I had recently married and couldn't afford paid stalking in addition to my main hobby of pistol shooting.

I'm afraid I can't be of any help with your Canjar spring problem. About 1979 I bought a Heym-Ruger that was fitted with a Canjar trigger. The Canjar trigger is a superb single set trigger and worked flawlessly for the many years and all the deer I shot with that rifle. I only ever used it set a couple of times hunting and occasionally down the range. The trigger unset is a joy to shoot.
As I Understand it the owner of Canjar died and the trigger went out of production many years ago. About 20 years ago I looked into getting a Canjar for a Ruger #1 International I had at the time but even back then canjar had been out of production for many years.
I hope you find a suitable spring and get the trigger and rifle back into use.

Mike - if/when you find any papers etc. associated with the rifle perhaps we can have a conversation. I may have indicated in previous chatter awhile back I acquired just the rifle from Wilf Ashman, a Swindon based RFD, who then became Country Pursuits in Cricklade.
Ahh yes, the days of having a Colt 1911, Ruger .357Mag etc.........

Jagare - the trigger has been a pleasure to use and I was aware that Canjar had ceased sometime ago, so well understand the predicament I am now in. There may be some exploded diagrams of the trigger units floating on the internet that would provide information to move forward - fingers crossed. Or a long-shot, someone recalling a Gunsmith who fitted them and may have some redundant components..........
