For Sale: Caping knives

Bowland blades

Well-Known Member
After a bit of prototyping and testing over perhaps this last two years , i have brought out a brand new knife design . I think for most stalkers a caping knife is rare need , so i set to and made one that was more a multi purpose caper , come rabbit knife or just plain something that needs a little more time and attention to gralloch anything up to and including the big stags.
The knife is extensively a modified and smaller hybrid using features from both the well tested " Roe " and "muntjac " knife models I make
Features
6 1/2" total length
3 1/4" blade ( includes ricaso) and the finger / thumb notch, common to the muntjac and Roe models
3/4" handle thickness total
Full flat grind , the grind is finished to fine Trizac belt ( something that a few have asked me for ) .
Handles are g10 orange with black liners, left at 240 grit unpolished or coated for grip when wet
Three brass pins to secure
A proper drop point with geometry with the regular central point for easy piercing and small detail skinning
Currently i have just four , three of which are available and i hope to publish them on the website this evening first come first served basis . I have yet to work through the pricing but I intend to run these out at very affordable prices DSC_0330 - Copy.webp Bowland Blades | Bespoke Hunting & Kitchen Knives

When will these be available on the website, I had a look but can’t see them yet, not sure if it’s just my dodgy searching skills😂

Pleasure ! Got a few of that new idea we talked about blanked out , 4 for testing . I knew if i didn't start quick i would just forget LOL !
Generally 100 beasts seems to be the mark , most re- sharpening i get by far are bad or simply incomplete attempts by the owner - Going to the stone far too quick !
Never charged for servicing for the original owner of my knives , a few months back i started to need to charge return post because Legal Knife post and insurance isn't dirt cheap
