Although I’m a keen rifle shot I no longer stalk. I would like to buy a fallow or roe carcass from a stalker in the Colchester area if poss. I’d like some idea of price, payment would be cash or a days rough shooting after pheasants and woodcock. Any help would would be appreciated.

2.50kilo.I have a butcherd muntjac vac packed in the freezer or if you would prefer fallow that can be arranged in the skin.im 20 mins from colchester. Gary

As already said the price for venison is about £2lb per kilo so a good size roe doe is going to cost you about £40 and small yearling will be about £30 give or take and a evening roe doe stalking being easily picked up for under £100, so dont get had over with your days walked up pheasant and woodcock shooting could be a couple of hundred quid dependant on the bag. If i were i would forget all the money and try and do a straight swap with somone for a days rough shooting for a trip on the does.
