Where does one go for these injections and what looking at cost wise?
You can get them free on the NHS but you’ll need to have a blood test specifically checking your active B12 count - the action threshold in the UK is far higher than Europe (I’m told) so to qualify you would likely be suffering from pernicious anaemia (like me) - symptoms include as I mentioned tiredness, brain fog and, in my case, more than average boughts of pins and needles in my hands. This particular anaemia means I cannot absorb B12 through a healthy diet. Initially you have a loading dose of 4 injections over a period of around a week to boost your levels, then you repeat weekly / bi-weekly / monthly to see what your frequency needs to be (mine has found its sweet spot at around 4 weeks).

I actually have mine privately through a friend who is licensed and qualified to administer them (she also does non-surgical cosmetic treatments) and they cost £40 per injection, but I’ve read on line that they can be had for around £29 each.

Whilst I know it can sound like a lot of money to some to take a punt on, I’m sure some who are suffering would agree with me when I say I’d pay double that to be able to get out of bed normally in the morning without pain, or just sit for 5 minutes without then being locked in that position in agony.

You can find reputable practitioners online that you can book to have the injections, but obviously check them out first.

I’m no medical expert, but the abridged advice above is fairly accurate and would be explained in more detail by a competent provider. As I mentioned in my previous post, it worked and is still working for me purely by accident - it may not work for others but it’s as much worth a try as say, acupuncture (which I was considering).

Hope that all makes sense and helps 👍🏼
