CCI quiets.

I got a box cheap so tried them.
Honestly, I think an air rifle is better at it!
One squirrel took four rounds and despite the segmented bullets split it wasn't quick!
In saying that some did die quickly.

I've never tried the quiet 750fps version, but ran the subsonic 1050 segmenting pretty much exclusively through my .22 for a good while. No issues at all, and not exactly loud when moderated either.

I tried to source it here in the US, but all I can find is the 750fps stuff you reference above. Glad I've avoided it!

Squirrel season is not that far away and the moderated 10/22 is running pretty nicely with standard cci subsonic.

Firstly nice to see the boss coming out with you enjoying every minute a lovely pic mate
I tried them quiets rat shooting, the idea was to get further away hopefully giving a bigger shooting area

The knockdown was ok, to be honest the accuracy i get from my air rifle left the quiets in the shade albiet @35 yds didnt find the accuracy too good , a neck or shoulder shot on a rat does the job what i found the grouping wasn’t all that so aiming at the neck you could end up with a shoulder shot entry point as well
Only got 1/2 a pack of 250 used them up went back to the PCP or normal 22 CCI

Yeah. They give not much compared to air and then there is the cost.

It's the kind of ammo I would buy from my RFD if say he had a hand in etc. like the pack of CB caps I got from him.

What brand of caps did you get SD? I’ve got some S&B and a few rws acorn brand left. Popped a few short range squirrels with them occasionally, fiddly little things to load though

CCI mate.
My Sako p94 has a wide ejection port so that helps!

I recently got some cci segmented hp subs and first impressions are quite good.
Accuracy was good with the same point of impact as my regular cci subs.
I shot about 20 rabbits so far with head and body shots and had good clean kills.
I shot 10 over my garmin chronograph and got an average velocity of 1071fps.
Box says 1050fps.

CCI used to sell CB LONG which were so quite that you didn't need any sort of a moderator as in a twenty-three inch barrel all the powder was burned by the time the bullet exited the muzzle. They also were very accurate. I always either head shoot squirrels or pin them through both shoulders and so through and into the top of the lungs.
