Chain blocks

I’ve a 34mm scaffold rail in my chiller.

Am looking at chain blocks to assist lifting, the gate on the hook needs to be 34mm or greater.

If you use one would you mind measuring the gate? Can’t see the gate size in any of the online info.

Cheers JS

Couldn’t you put a D link around the scaffold pole and hook the chain block onto that? Would only loose an inch or two of height.

Blocks with hooks that big would be rated 5t plus. Hazarding a guess that the block your using is 1t, you’d be better off using a 1m, 1t endless polyester sling with an effective working length of 0.5m. This should keep the block relatively tight to the tube and if needed can be wrapped multiple times to raise it even higher. They’re cheap as chips too! A few pound at most!

These have datasets giving dimensions....oddly of only the lower hook, but if they're the same size.....might be worth dropping their customer service a line.
Re. SP687's comment above, these seem to be large enough at 1000kg.
