Had a recording of Fox I got last night; he was only 110 yards but was very clear. I was looking at sheep in the same field at 400+ yards against a hedge. It was -1 or -2 degrees and no moon at all. The picture was black before it was turned on, but once turned on, it was a brilliant picture. Non-LRF should be a bit lighter with the Solaris; the alpex and Solaris are heavy, but I'm used to a DS35 with built-in IR, and I tried the Solaris on it as well, and at 160 170+ yards, it is needed and gives great picture with it as well. Ill probably be out tomorrow night. I'll see if I can get some pictures at different ranges for you, then I'll see if I can get them uploaded to this. That sounds very good! I was the same, fallow are showing at last light in numbers and need to make a dent over the next couple of months. Went for the non lrf version as I shoot under 200yds. Be keen to see how the image looks with the Solaris when you get chance to take some pics. Cheers
