Cheap shooting chair

Hi all,

I know chairs have been discussed before, but, cheap chairs that aren't too low.
Ideal for a bit of pigeon and rat shooting.

Oh and has to be cheap.

Don't want to be dropping £150 on a chair.

What do you use and would recommend?

Cheers

Used this type for 15 years, school/collage chairs well designed, quite flat so you can swivel around as not much side lip.
I have 2 of the bases in high seats. just 2 bars welded across to stop sinking in the soft ground

May have to also steal the wheelbarrow idea.
Farm always has one hanging around, as long as I return it minus pigeons and shells

will be waiting for your effort who will doing the welding?
I'll ask the farmer to do it, I've seen him weld catches on a bucket. That thing must have weighed a ton...
Not refined but was solid.
I know he'll be up for it as he'll want one while we're shooting too 🤣

With a barrow then this time of year also not long before the barley/wheat is on the turn a 200 yard walk with kit on your shoulders over your neck keep stopping heavy battery gun poles net won't fit in a bucket seat
Then where do you put the pigeons lol

Ive tried most types of shooting seats available from £20 buckets to £90 Bergara's and the best one ive ever used is the canvas directors chair that i use now, similar to this:

1718904513500.webpIt's lightweight & exactly the right height for me. I managed to get it for nothing from my local Freecycle group.

I use a "chutney barrel" from my local indian restaurant. Free, swivel on the top works and room for stuff inside.

David.
