Chest pack for Binos and thermal

Thermal is used all the time, bins are not. So thermal is usually in my hand and on the pocket of my smock when it isn't. Less faff.

Exactly this let's me drop it and it doesn't go too far ! And doesn't feel like I'm carrying a fridge on my chest

I think it would. I have the harkila bino pack and an FQ35 which fits well. The pouch is elasticated so pretty sure it would take the FQ50 too

Any suggestions for a chest pack that would hold both?

It does yes. It’s snug to get in but fits pretty well.
Camelback flask fits good in the other pouch as well….

Have you considered something more multipupose like a modular chest rig? Something like a Ferro Concepts DOPE pouch with a zippered admin insert, perhaps?

Never mind. Got a smaller thermal now so it'll go in existing pouch and I don't plan on encountering bears in East Sussex unless my wife sees the price of copper rounds

Yes, I used the Fury and Glasspack for a few years and never really got on with it for the reason you say, felt that the straps were a bit flimsy too. Got an Alaskan Guide Ravus system from Malmo guns at the Northern Shooting Show last year with side and bottom pouches and it has been much better, far more refined.

Infuriated me every time I get the bins out, and what glue were they sniffing when they thought those net pouches on the side were handy? Put my head torch in one side and it's a right nightmare just to get that out!
