Sorry for you, what a b++ger, We've had a cracking day ourselves whilst dealing with a hospice team and a care home over which elderly parent is going to be first past the post...its time for them but takes the edge off things....
Both of us here have been almost completely flattened, Scarily like the onset of a storm on Christmas eve, one minute looking forward to a great Christmas dinner, then bang flop ... aching back & knees, giant boxes of tissues emptied overnight, noses feeling like they were mopped with a grinding disc, gratefully happy that it is norovirus free.
Wish I had asked Santa for an oxygen tent.
Chin up all you sickies, it'll be over in a couple of days.
To all those feeling poorly, You have my sympathies,
I had the flu go through my house 3 weeks ago and we struggled. I don't do sick days but there was 6 days I couldn't do much and barely left the house. I even had to pass on a days pheasant shooting. Worst Ive felt in 25 years. Glad it’s behind us now. All I can say is when you feel better you will appreciate your health. Get well soon chaps
I missed a days pheasant shooting a few years back when I had Covid - was determined I was going, it was only when I was stood fully dressed in the kitchen making breakfast shaking like a sh1tting dog that I realised it wasn’t going to happen & headed back to my pit!
As for the lurgy, the snotty nose & aching seems to have passed but has been replaced by a cough of thermobaric proportion - who knew it was possible to suffocate yourself, or at least have a damned good try! Just keeping fingers crossed that it doesn’t develop into anything worse…
It's no joke @Scarpa!
The rest of the family are huddled, shivering, under a pile of blankets, emerging only briefly to sip lucozade, swallow pills or throw up.
Christmas is off.
I'm the only one who can still stand. Currently ransacking the place in search of a thermometer.
Sorry to hear that @VSS - I've been given your book for Christmas which looks absolutely jam-packed with useful information, looking forward to getting stuck into it.
