The rest of the family are huddled, shivering, under a pile of blankets, emerging only briefly to sip lucozade, swallow pills or throw up.
Christmas is off.
I'm the only one who can still stand. Currently ransacking the place in search of a thermometer.

Oh hell, I didn't realise it was a proper outbreak. You have my sympathy. We once had the entire family go down with norovirus starting with the first one at Xmas dinner.

Bad luck! Last year I had a kidney stone and was curled up in the foetal position on Christmas Day!

The only plus side is that there's a whole lot of venison sausage rolls that need eating up, freshly baked last night, and I'm the only one with an appetite

What's worse is my daughter, son in law and the boys are coming for dinner today and my wife just keeps saying, give yourself a shake it's not that bad, mmmmm

Was that rough yesterday evening that I couldn’t even finish a wee dram

Mrs DB is showing the early signs so I’m not flavour of the month…

Sorry to hear people are feeling rough. Hope you are all improved soon. We had two elderly neighbours in for Christmas dinner today. We had venison which was a new experience for both of them. Glad to say it went down very well. So two converts.

To all those feeling poorly, You have my sympathies,
I had the flu go through my house 3 weeks ago and we struggled. I don't do sick days but there was 6 days I couldn't do much and barely left the house. I even had to pass on a days pheasant shooting. Worst Ive felt in 25 years. Glad its behind us now. All I can say is when you feel better you will appreciate your health. Get well soon chaps
