Though better for proper interface to be bedded - the chassis type stocks are all a compromise - pretty rigid, but only where they touch and can in some cases still cause movement on the action when torqued down
Nice work and I really like your clients thinking. Having had and enjoyed a 7x57, the chambering is hugely capable. Why not benefit from advanced technology too.
