Classic Steyr Luxus 243.

Classic 1980s stalking rifle in 243, all original not screw cut.

I’ve owned this rifle for probably 15 years and has alway been my summer roe rifle in Scotland. Shooting a 75gr home load it’s been perfect for a summer evening stalk, light and fast rifle. But since buying a Styre Stutzen in 270 it’s no longer gets used.

I am the second owner from new I purchased off my good friend and fellow stalker.
Good condition, very little blueing wear and excellent bore and wood work minor scratches. Comes with original steyr swing off mounts and a 4x32 swaro scope. Single set trigger and steel box mag and the classic butter knife bolt in a hog’s back stock.

A friend had one of the first ones to appear in Scotland many many years ago

It still lives on albeit with a fast twist barrel to shoot 60gr bullets in 22-250

Re barreled 3 times by George faulds.

Done about 70 rounds since the last barrel 10 years ago

No cos it has rear locking lugs.

It has the plastic rear safety of the later model and the shape of the cheek piece is later too.

I understand your reasoning but the SBS system was defined by the front locking lugs and the collar that rotated with the locking lugs to make it the SBS.

It had a new stock before I split the butt some years back. The safety it metal and your experts i see
