Cleaning brass? Recommendations please

Depends how dirty they are. My stuff unless it's been rolled in the mud just gets a wipeoff with a cloth and fine wire wool around neck and shoulder to remove any soot. As you can tell I'm not anal about squeaky clean brass :)

I'm not reloading myself as yet but once I come back from a shooting sesh any used brass get a twirl in the wire wool around the neck and in a bag ready to use.

Hi Alan at #12

I'll try to dig out the document and get a pdf over to you.............lots of other uses for the citric acid solution!
Cant say it comes to mind but I did come upon the Forum/Post a good few years ago now. Without knowing the chemical composition in the tablets (and a Chemical/Materials persons input) it is likely to be difficult to establish likely effects on the brass - the citric acid solution (in this document) goes into indicating where the brass mix is 'lean' from colouration in these locations after cleaning.......

Cheers guys, didn’t realize there was so many options. Having googled the price of the rcbs ultrasonic,(ouch) I’ll probably try and pick one up cheap second hand but in the meantime, plenty home remedies on this thread to try.

Ps didn’t appreciate that the cases don’t have to be spotless to reload!

I bought a 10 litre GT Sonic one off eBay for £130-ish you can get them for £99 now. I wanted the large size for two-stroke carburettors but obviously any of the smaller ones will do for cartridge cases. They all seem to be digital control now though I opted for the analogue rotary controls on mine...

There are loads of people offering them...1.3litre here are down to £25 stainless tank and all...
