Cleaning Rod Adaptor

Hi, I've been given an antique shotgun cleaning rod, the end thread diameter is female and is 4.4mm wide. The jag and other brushes i have have a male thread with a diameter of 6.8mm. Looking online to get an adaptor, but it's confused the hell out of me, can anyone help please on what size adaptor I need? Ta

Go to a hardware store and try what fits on both your rod and brushes. Note down the threafs. 4.4mm etc. doesn‘t really tell much.

More than likely a British Standard Brass thread which is similar to the Bisley/Parker Hale brush/mop/jag etc however I can't see any with female threads online?

Go visit a decent gunsmith he might have fittings in the junk box.
