Antarctic glacier shrinks at fastest pace in modern history

Antarctic scientists have documented the fastest retreat of a glacier in modern history, after it lost eight kilometres of ice in just two months, according to a new report.

Personally I look on a warming climate as a good thing. When I was a child I lived in a house with no central heating, occasionally the internal water pipes would freeze up and during winter 62/63 even the inside toilet froze over. In fact one of the things that made life really unpleasant then was the seasonal onset of chilblains that only cleared up when the warm late spring weather returned. So, no I don't see any merit in bringing a colder climate back again.

I don't......certainly when everyone living in the bit between the tropic of Cancer and the tropic of Capricorn decides they need to move to an area with a cooler climate in order to stay alive.....
