Clothing sale - Arktis

I don't know if anyone is interested but I just noticed that Arktis is having a clothing sale with reasonable prices on some stuff, especially if you like French camo patterns it seems.

The only Arktis gear I own is one of their shirts, I'm giving it a try to see if it can replace the shirts I normally wear as they haven't been manufactured for years now, and it is well made and dries extremely quickly. The fabric is heavy duty and it would be a step up in "robustness" and general quality over the normal mil surplus stuff but without the sale it is also much more expensive. It is worth noting that it is pretty "tight" to size especially if, like me, you've put on a bit of a belly as you've got older.

For what it is worth I think the basic Arktis gear seems well designed and functional and their "upgraded" stuff such as the Ranger trousers and their various more "high end" smocks are over designed with way too many "features" that are only going to become a pain in actual use plus they will all make the clothing dry much more slowly. So my hint and tip is stay away from marketing and features and get the basic functionality you actually need :-)
