I know you have all heard this befor, and I am aware price of such thing vary alot from powders and equipment,
IV wanted to get into reloading for quite some time and understand that unless your shooting large amounts or making your own match rounds that reloading isn't really going to save me any money. For me it's more about the learning and being able to do it my self than anything else.

I'm just trying to work out an estimated cost.
So how much would I need in my pocket to just go and buy everything to start reloading say .243 from having nothing to being able to sit down and pump out a tray of rounds

A reloading manual 60£
A Lee kit with scale and powder messure for about 200£
A reloding toolset for .243w 3 in one set. 50£
+a shell holder sized for 243w/308w 5£
primers 12£/100
powder 100£/500g (about 140 rounds)
bullets 50£/100
Prices do vary and may be old.

Just watch video think this is the way to go with me to start with and just allow it to progress from there. Ima a poor man with many kids so though of having to save up £1000 and convince the Mrs I need the reloading gear was a bit daunting hahahah

Theoretically self loading saves money and the initial outlay is recouped in a year or two then it’s save save save. Actually you buy loads more gear than you need and buy the wrong stuff then buy a better one and you actually shoot 2-5 times more rounds than before. Quite apart from load development you just tend to shoot loads more…. But that’s fine right!

I bought a Lee reloading set to start with. Had beam scales, press, scoops, funnel etc. I think it even came with a free die set. It worked, and I shared it with a mate so we could both do our own rounds.
Then I added to it ………..
I don’t think there’s any of it in use now other than funnels and dies. New scales, press have all joined me but they probably don’t make the ammunition any more accurate.
I just think it’s great that when I shoot a deer, I made the bullet that did it. Not some machine somewhere.

For me that's what it's about I just wanna be able to do it and know how to do it just for the fun of doing it
