Complete review of the Ruger-built Marlin 1895 SBL

Good write up . I've always liked , and used , Marlins over the years . The Remlins left a lot to be desired , but the later production ones were an improvement over Remingtons initial production models . I have a late production 1895G in 45/70 . It needed some deburring and a bit of tweeking at first , but is an accurate and reliable rifle . I'm not in the market for another 45/70 , but I would like to see a 336 in 35 Rem . You will undoubtedly see Rugers new rifles before we will , it would be great if you could do a test on the 336 , in any chambering , when they become available . Thanks for posting .

Still remember the burrs from my own incursion into Levers, but I did relish the thing, even though it wouldn't group with anything, The write up could well entice me to have one again.

Great write up. I've never owned a Lever but have always had an interest in them. This rifle ticks all my boxes from threaded barrel to calibre.
