Condor thoughts?

They said there were a few with hardware problems, something to do with the battery chamber, the rest were waiting for software/firmware update, we'll have to see. Whatever arises they will have to resolve the issue, they can't afford not to and neither can I.
Yes the first shipment a few units had an issue that when the LRF was activated the device powered off, this was a hardware issue and resolved... the second batch theres a software update needed to indicate the correct battery capacity as currently the batteries don't display the right % on the display and software..

Watching this with interest as tried one out the other night and it seems great. I'm not so sure now, based on the comments above and the apparent majority who seemed to have had issues.

Well, I went to a demo evening tonight and had a massive, in depth and long chat to,
The importers
Hik team
Retailers

Was a great evening and I quizzed them about the issues, they are working on sorting things, one was a software issue and one was actually a mechanical issue that only became apparent after shipping them halfway around the world, it was an issue that did not show up in testing.

However, I will say, I felt quite reassured they were going to back up all the spiel with action, and there would be backup from hik behind all thier products (some of which were actually very good.)

My condor CQ50L had to go back after a couple of days. The unit was intermittently crashing when the Range Finder was activated

My cq35 woukd keep rebooting when I pressed the lrf also. It didn't happen on the replacement cq50 I had maybe because I only had that one 24hrs.
Mine is back with them and they said it is a problem with the first few models and they will sort the battery problem out as well the customer care is really good

Wouldnt be good for their reputation if refunds had to be issued and buyers went back to pulsar ! Shite show in my view and not straight answers , 24hr turn around i was told two weeks ago now its waiting for parts 😳

My second one was gone over two weeks with no date for completion so went with refund. I was given two excuses one a firmware would sort then it needed a new component.

Was the battery life/firmware issue with a few units or does every unit still have this issue until they issue a firmware update? So if I buy one tomorrow, will it also have the issue?

Think it very much depends where you buy from as new shipments have been sorted but if it’s from an earlier shipment it needs sorting ? That’s how I understand it but more than happy to be corrected

Spoke to my local rfd this afternoon to enquire. They don't have any in stock so phoned hik on my behalf. Their version was that the reason a lot of places are out of stock is that the distributor is checking them for faults before they go out to dealers to try and ensure no issues. There is therefore a two week wait. I can't judge the veracity of what they guy in the shop was told, but that's their version. Gun shop guy said he has been much more impressed with hik than pulsar since using their products. Again, this is third hand so don't place too much weight in it but thought it may be useful to others. 👍

Another one here. After lots of research I switched from Pulsar to HIK. Unit arrived on Weds CQ35L, took it out Weds night and after 20 mins I was getting a low battery warning and the LRF was rebooting….

Gutted as the unit was awesome when it worked.

Will be contacting Optics Warehouse tomorrow to find a solution.

Makes you wonder how long it will be until the retailers send the lot back to Hik and tell them to get there act together, it must be a nightmare for these guys alongside the nightmare for the consumer.
It makes you a little dubious about the Hik brand although they are doing all they can to sort it.
As somebody else commented earlier in the thread, seemd like it was rushed out to beat Pulsar with the Telos.

My falcon fq35 has allways had a battery life of 2 1/2 hours
Put the latest update on it the other day it’s gone to 4 hours a battery now can’t understand how but I was very pleased with the image and the product before anyway just was told there was a update
