Copper magnet bracelets

I started wearing a copper bracelet years ago, because someone told me that it would protect me from arthritis and rheumatism in later life.

Fat lot of good that did!
I'm now suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. Elbows and wrists fairly knackered, constant pain, lost all strength in arms and grip, struggling with manual dexterity, suffering from fatigue.

So it's a no from me!

I've had it in my right shoulder couple years now. I've a very high pain threshold (for a man!) but recently getting pain in arm that's about stopping me in my tracks daily. 😟

GP referral to physio. Doing exercises but physio refering me back to a consultant. Willing to give magnets a try!

Any perceived improvement would be a classic case of the placebo effect in action

Cheers

I have arthritis in my hips feet , hands , and given by the noise that comes out of me when moving about , probably my shoulders and elbows too.

I use diclofenac in a low dose . I take it whenever I’m planning any activity , mountain biking , stalking , etc

I used to use tumeric as well. Seemed to help , but the actual drugs work much better.

I guess like sleeping with a potato in the bed to keep night cramp away. Which was a thing as a kid your elderly relatives used to tell you. And, yes, I used to do it as a kid. Must have a powerful permanent effect as I haven't done it for fifty-eight years and haven't since had night cramps.

I tried it, didn't work. However, ended up on the gout daily pills Allopurinol and it has been a revelation, uric acid count wasn't that high but told Doc my Dad had gout. Swollen painful joints shrunk to normal - reversed over 3 or so years.

TBF i have known folks swear it works for them others say rubbish . Remember though Arthritis comes in many and various forms and severity. You dont need to spend a lot and it cant hurt you at worst you develop a green stain after a while

I was skeptical till a girl who worked for me told me she used them on her horse which was slightly lame. She swore by them after that. Dont think horses understand the placebo affect.
I've been wearing them for thirty years after a badly broken elbow and don't have any pain any more. My advice would be try them and if they work for you great. if not flog it on e-bay . It will only have cost you a few quid.
Steve.
