Am in need of a cordless fencing stapler. Cordless kit is currently Makita, who don't make what I'm after.
This is for commercial use.

Any advice greatly received

Thanks

Really boils down to how much you will use it, it a stapler or nail gun, you need, for rabbit fencing and general fencing what I ended up with from Axminster tools was a compressed air stapler/nailer using a very small portable compressor with a light weight 30 mtr air line on a retractable roll and topped it up with a Honda generator when no leccy nearby
It makes life so much easier being a nailer and a stapler it really is a godsend for fencing it pays for itself on time saved and ease of use
You can get some mighty long staples and nails galvanised as well

Downside you can get so many other tools for it - hand held concrete splitter, cutters, nibblers grinders. The list is endless 🥹
The beauty of it all is it is all light portable I normally leave it all in the trailer. And just run the line out 30 mtrs to do a stretch at a time but moving it around is perfic
It makes a great asset for the job

We use this on the estate:
DeWalt DCFS950N-XJ 50mm 18V Li-Ion XR Brushless First Fix Cordless Stapler / Nail Gun - Bare - Screwfix
Has been reliable and worth every penny. Last year we put in 600m of new release pen netting. Plus a lot of stock fence and it performed faultlessly. It's also very robust.

Thanks for your reply

I see where you are coming from, but my best option is cordless.

My brother, who is a full time agri fencer, uses a senco gas battery stapler, and 2 mates who are also agri fencers use stockade ones I think. Think the stockade are better but the senco has done 5 years full time, it failed and got repaired, and he bought another the same so he wasn't without. No complaints from either.

I use Stockade staplers which are very good if looked after. These are gas operated and relatively light compared to the milwaukee which is battery powered. Again a good machine but the weight difference might influence your choice if your fencing on the hills

I've used, professionally, both DeWalt and Milwaukee. Both are good, I'd say the milwaukee possibly has the edge, although they are more expensive. Both are quite heavy, but you get used to it. If you're doing odd jobs a battery will last a while, but if you're doing hundreds of meters at a time you'll need a few batteries.

I've also used KMR, which run off a gas cartridge, and found them quite poor. Prone to breakage and also the staples are small and straight so that they pull out easily. Cheaper tools though, and the gas comes with the staples so you only need to recharge the small battery once in a while.

What did you go for ? I did couple days helping a mate fencing I was on his Milwaukee and I cannot fault it
It stapled faster than I could operate it
But he did say staples are rather expensive

Do you have a link to the type of staples you would use in the DeWalt for deer or sheep fence? Thanks

have a few Milwaukee nail guns, all of them work flawlessly.

never found them the most refined, but they have plenty of grunt
