So why is the vet check done after the showing ? why is'nt it done before?
Yes the Kc have got a lot to answer for but just look at the state of field trial spaniels. Who's fault is it that they have degenerated to such pathetic excuses for spaniels.

What world are you on? My father's field spaniel is an excellent working gundog.

What a stupid sweeping statement - this is my FTCH - I also made his mother up to FTCH and 2 of his sons in my kennels are currently Open winning dogs.
We don't all like little white grass spaniels.

yep , you all slate crufts then you all pay top whack for KC reg dogs . What price a bit of paper ? what price true workers?

People pay top wack and kc dogs because alot of us who own working dogs like to trace back through there history check all there hip scores eyes etc have been done and many like to trial there dogs which is not possible with an non kc registered dogs,also there is a world of difference between working and showing dogs and also there breeding, in a majority of cases you get what you pay for as simple as that I would never perchase a dog that was not kc reg or had proper health checks simple as that and you have to pay for that.....
