Some years ago a friend of mine had a nest in the ivy on his wall and the chicks hatched out to show a cuckoo in the nest.
The local paper got to know of it so arranged a photo shoot. They arranged the cameras and lights ready to pull back the ivy to expose the birds.
When they did pull back the ivy my mates Jack Russel was in there like a greased weasel and chomped the cuckoo in seconds, all filmed too but was not published as it was classed at not in the public interest !!
