Custom base epoxy for antlers

Good afternoon all,

I dispatched a roe buck and unfortunately the skull as sustained too much damage for a decent mount.

My intention was to make a small bowl shaped base and infill it with epoxy to keep the antlers upright and set it with the epoxy. Idea to fill it to the base of the antlers for stability.

Has anyone done anything similar and have any advice?
