custom knives worth it or not?

I personally would go for the good watch option, have a look at Christopher Ward of London, he made our unit some great watches and custom made for us, good to look at, smart for all occassions and you can't get nicked for wearing a watch........as long as it's yours.

well chaps thank you all very much for your replys a couple of days ago i took delivery of a tbs (the bushcraft store) boar knife, after seeing it on the net i liked the look of it and all the reviews were very good all be it from the bushcraft comunity but i wasnt disapointed on its delivery its extremly well made (according to the website they are hand made in small batches) and the sheath is well made to and its came with a little sharpening stone and a fire steel which ok i have no idea how to use but the 4yr old son thinks its great when i throw sparks all over the place. i apreciate that yes i could one day lose the knife and yes i would be extremly gutted but somtimes you just have to take the plunge and hope for the best

I recently purchased a TBS boar folder (non-lock) to wear on my belt when out and about in the country - like you I must say it seems exceptional for the money, incredibly sharp from the off and well made.
