Cz 455,.22wmr

I was wondering if anyone has put a timney trigger in there cz 455?? I have a .22wmr coming and the trigger is hellish!!! I was looking at timneys offering or a replacement ( I have a few of the timney 2 stage in other rifles and like them) so I was thinking of popping one in for the £135 or so they are? So my Q is/was is it bad to do? Thanks

All cz triggers are quite easy to improve yourself.
On my current 455 I just added a spring on the pin that gets a sheath in the yo Dave kits.
It basically lessons the sear engagement.
On my 452 I stoned the sears for a lighter pull.
Suffice to say, no way would I pay that for a trigger!

Honestly the spring kit makes the world of difference mate.

I've had the 452, and 455.
After fitting the kit to the 452, it was the first thing I did to the 455 before even shooting it.

I'm sure I actually have a kit sitting in my spares drawer

Please make sure you give the rifle a bump test when you fit a lighter spring on the 455's.
The lightest spring in the trigger kit I got would not hold when bumping the butt down on the floor, shame because it felt perfect.

I really don’t want to be paying x amount for a rimfire trigger like ( I don’t mind on my centrefires ) but the cz trigger is awful I think my benelli has a better trigger and that’s saying something

This is exactly why I stones the sears and retain the original spring weight (in most cases).

Yodave in mine and the trigger is really good. This is the kit that comes with 2 brass tubes to remove creep. Be careful with these. I've worked on a few 455's and the fabrication tolerances in the trigger casting are vague. On a brand new 455 I did a couple of weeks ago I fitted the thinnest of the copper tubes. Bump tested fine (I even use a rubber mallet to give a short tap to various parts of the action) however after cycling the bolt a couple of hundred times occasionally the sear wouldn't engage and the bolt would come out of the action.
Like I say they work great on some rifles, on others you may need to just swap the springs and put up with a little creep, unless you want to get the files out!
