Sold: CZ 527 .222 Remington

Up for grabs is this beautiful little CZ 527 in .222 with a slight conundrum..

I picked this up several months ago and have been unable to find a mod to fit the thread on the barrel. It’s been professional shortened at some point in its life to 18” and threaded and the threads have been done to a high standard although it seems to be somewhere in between 1/2 x 20 and 1/2 x 28 and I can’t find a mod to fit or anyone local to the shorten and recut the barrel.

The rifle is in great condition and the action is silky smooth with an oddly nice trigger (single stage and doesn’t have the set trigger everyone seems to hate).

Comes with a spare genuine mag and a brand new fitted Rusan steel 20moa rail.

£200 buys the rifle with the spare mag and rail.

No I haven’t, good shout but not practical now as I had bought a wildcat Evo for it and they don’t supply them bridges anyway.

Can you not check its provenance by going back to where you acquired it.
I would have thought most Gunshops would have thread gauges.

Yes and none fit. I bought it used and every gauge tried has not fitted.

I’m not going to do that level of digging just to find out the previous owner possibly doesn’t know themselves. It’s a 2001 rifle and the barrel could have been shortened and cut at any point in its life. Plus I’ve already replaced it now anyway.
