Has anyone got a cz 515 tactical .22wmr semi auto ?
If so what ammunition do you use ? All the ammunition ive tried always has a stopage after 3 or 4 rounds. Also does anyone know if you can get an extended magazine for it?

How you doing, I've got a cz 512 semi auto in 22wmr (515 is Australian but identical to the 512) hornady 30g I've found are great for accuracy.........the firing pin tends to gum up quite quickly which has an impact on the force required to strike the bullet case, 512 was misfiring really badly, out of 16 bullets only 3 fired......I found the problem, turns out the firing pin wasn't striking the bullet hard enough so I filed the firing pin where the locking pin holds it in place to give more movement........works like a charm, just remember not to take too much metal off the firing pin just a bit at a time till it gets better......as for extended magazines I'm only aware of 5 shot and 10 shot magazine's

I'll give that a try , ive stripped down a few times and covered the block and pin in oil. Thanks

Wouldn't do any harm to order a couple of firing pins, I bought 2 from sportsman gun center over the phone last year, it took a couple of months to arrive but definitely handy as a backup

Good idea ,maybe a new one might be the trick

You might be right , plus it could be an expense without solving the problem .
Think i'll just take it to a gunsmith.

I had one and used CCI Gamepoint. No issues with it....apart from CCI is really dirty and used to get recycling issues after about 60 through it. You can strip the rifle down with a coin and a dowel and easy to clean so not a major issue.

Footprint is standard CZ fayre and will take 10 and 15 magazines.

It only needs a few strokes of a small stone or small diamond file on the hammer side of the travel stop pin.
