Dash cam?

Yes I’ve that one installed just for peace of mind just in case.
Thinking of upgrading to the one that incorporates a rear view camera 🎥

I have the older 312gw in my truck and just a few days ago had reason to send some footage to the police, I hadn’t really looked at any before because it came with the previous car that I inherited when my father passed away. The video quality is absolutely superb and miles better than that from my much more expensive Thinkware Q800 Pro in the family car.
Unfortunately the 312gw doesn’t support a rear camera as I would definitely recommend that you get one of those at the same time.

If you are involved in an accident, they are invaluable in supporting your case, assuming of course that you weren’t the one in the wrong.

We have the Nextbase 622 front and rear cameras in my wife's car. Apart from the odd niggle (connecting from her phone has been a pita at times and the camera kept locking clips as if it had been in an accident) it works pretty well. Thinking of the same for mine, as the standard of driving is getting worse.

Look on the Nextbase website for offers, as we found it cheaper than Halfords for the package including fitting. Also, Top Cashback will get you 10% back in cash to claim later, not a discount.

Yes, I did cheekily insert my link to that. If you have not used it before, you get money back for clicking through their website to get to what you actually want. Sign up with that link and we both get a small bung back I think :)

Regards

Thinking of buying one of these https://www.halfords.com/technology/dash-cams/nextbase-322gw-dash-cam-158990.html
Anyone use one?

After an incident on the A35 recently it's time to buy one

Thanks

I have a next base on my Hilux for similar reason. I suspect its next version up. If you have a hilux, Toyota have a deal and fitted it was £200 I think. If you find it turns off if you have a eco car that turns off when the engine cuts out pm me and I will explain

also by the way on your hilux you will see on passenger side the wiper leaves quite a lot of the top part of windscreen unwiped. Consequently the unit gets located quite low down The passenger just has to put up with it in their upper vision

Think you can get a nextbase rear camera for yours Steve.

Personally would look at the next one up - the 422. Has Bluetooth connection/downloads so the unit/memory card never leaves the car.

Use them in mine and wife’s car.
