Dedito Haakan

Has anyone used this boot? I’m in the market for a new pair that will be tortured on commercial restock.

They are keenly priced and comparable to Meindl and other top end offerings but I am struggling to find much in the way of real review.

Recommend Dedito Moorland.

Similar to Haakan but have a thornlroof coating on, so the leather doesn’t get cut/scratched by brambles etc.

Had mine two years and been hard used and are still going strong.

Thanks very much for your input. That coating on the moorlands looks noisy and scratchy on Sitka and brambles, is this the case?
Nothing that you notice.

I use them a lot for woodland stalking, and the sound is no different to brambles catching on a smock or coat/trousers or other boots. What you do notice is that they don’t scratch or cut like normal leather boots along the creases and wear points.

They don’t really need reproofing either as much as standard leather, occasional coat of the dedito wax after a couple of really heavy weeks use and that’s about it.

Hasn’t made any difference to my stalking either way 😂

Have a look at the blackislander no scratch.... sympatex lined (so actually waterproof) not noisy on any undergrowth and not badly priced... mine have had some abuse as general work boots and whilst stalking.
They fit true to size....
