deer gambrel

Have been doing it this way for some years now, gambrel with a small carabiner attached clicks into the door catch & a piece of grooved 4x2 to support the tailgate

Thats a very neat solution....if you can get the car close by. Sadly on a lot of our ground that isn't possible, hence the folding gambrel and length of wire :(

Hi Dom

Although the photo was taken on a piece of ground I no longer have (land owner divorced & wife got the small estate in settlement, her children think all deer are Bambi's hence no more shooting them:doh:) I am lucky to be able to drive right around my other permission (next door to this one so same deer) weather conditions permitting

If you can hang on then I can save you the cost of the carabiner, as I've got half a dozen up in the larder. Won't be in Reading until Wednesday though.
