Deer heads

Another year another post, as always this is months out so I'm posting it here instead of classified
Hello as always this upcoming winter I'm looking to purchase more deer heads to process I'm after Roe CWD and Muntjac (Both sexes) and Sika spikes Hinds, and red hinds.

Price is to be determined at the moment however as I'm intentionally trying to buy waste products and not trophies expect about £3-10 per head, The smaller one being the cheaper ones as extraction wise most people keep the heads on.
If you run an estate where your shooting quite a fair amount through the season and It isn't too much trouble tossing the heads into a freezer feel free to PM me, CWD, Sika, and Muntjac mostly preferred.

Most are for my own collection I've been after more CWD of various tusk sizes, and I'm still missing female counterparts to most UK species.

Out of interest what do you want hind heads for?
There great decoration, shelf pieces, surfaces for painting etc, also great to hand to small children without (too) much risk!
I also enjoy the whole process of cleaning them up I dont boil them while I've yet to do it (no garden) they'll be popped in a freezer until early 2024 then macerated (Water + Bacteria) it cleans them with everything perfectly intact, museum quality.

At least in my opinion a lot more low effort than boiling actually plop them in a bucket of water and leave for three weeks, come back, put them in a tub of water and dishsoap, leave for another three months, glue the premaxila back on plus any teeth and done...

Would rather do that than any sort of scraping or brain blasting!!!

I've never heard of anything other than boiling or maggots/Dermestid beetles. Can you tell us a bit more about the method you use to clean them?

I'm in South Lanarkshire, shoot mostly Roe (single figures per annum!) and will happily give you non-medal and doe heads in exchange for a lesson on your cleaning method!

or if your interested I'll happily give you all my heads in exchange for you cleaning the occasional one that might be worth having measured?

Most of my stalking is near my home so it's no hardship to carry out and keep heads (in the freezer). If we are not too far apart probably easier to meet halfway for hand-over.

I'll be at Scone, Game Fair on the Friday and possibly Saturday. PM me if want to chat about it?
