Deer Hoist (Back Saver)

Good morning Comrades,
I hope you all had a great Christmas and Santa brought you some nice gifts. My gift came way before Christmas and a big thank you to @Tim.243
Now for those who don't know Tim, I alway discribe him to mates as the Chap that Engineers himself out of the S*&t he got himself into :lol:. For years I have asked Tim to fabricate me a deer hoist and it fell on deaf ears..... Little did I know Tim wanted to build himself one first and then me second in line. Well that day had finally come and one afternoon I popped over for a coffee. Tim walked to the back of my truck to have a look see and take a couple of measurements. 45 minutes later I had a 3 piece deer hoist knocked together to fit in the my truck and to side into the side of my trucks tow bar for use.

Bloody hell what a difference this hoist has made. For those that shoot deer on a regular basis and having to struggle lifting them into the back of the truck on your own would know how much a hoist would help. I have been cursing in the past trying to get big heavy deer in the back of my truck only to have to use the call a friend option......

What's nice about this hoist. Tim has thought it through and the top swivels round so you can lift the deer up any side and then swing the arm round to lower the deer in the tub on the tailgate.
I use this methode in reverse when taking the deer out aswell.

Well Timmy you have done a brilliant job once again Thank you very much. Here are a couple photo's of the hoist.

For those of you with drinks chillers, have a look at the link below of the Gambrels Tim made and they work brilliant also.

Not as heavy as one Red rear back leg... :tiphat:
@SA shooter
Tim
you’ve done a good job there mate, easy to install, easy to work = top job for making something that makes it pretty easy and the bigger deer a doddle to extract, you would be able drag a red out of a ditch with that gear 👍

Nice rig mty your right thinking outside the box allows him to see it before it's made 😉

@Gameking - David Stretton at Donnington Deer Management has been making these for years (in a take-down form).

@Gameking
When I made it there was a second use in mind which is for lifting my mobile welder in and out of the truck, as most things I make they are over spec. The weight is 29kg in 3 pieces under 30 seconds ready for lifting.
The welder is around 100kg also a cube shape so not an easy lift, SA Shooter's hoist is lighter also built to suit his spec which doesn't include a mobile welder. :tiphat:

Cost was £20.00 the squeaky pully FOC

Tim all i have is a basic mora knife not up to your knives by a long way.
Film me are you going to put it on game for a laugh or biggest F ups
